The Groom's Family
The Halder family, originally from Bangladesh, is comprised of William and Jenet Halder and their two sons, Wilson (Joy) and Winston (Raj) Halder. We are an international family, as William Halder sailed across the oceans as a chief engineer of a cargo vessel. Their first son, Wilson, was born in England and second son, Winston, was born in Canada. Halder family did settle in New York City for few years, the home of the bride's family, but eventually decided to move up north to Toronto in 1997.

William Halder is a strong pillar for the Halder family. At a young age, his intellectual and profound leadership qualities have given him success to an abundance of achievements from the building of a Baptist church in Bangladesh to becoming a chief engineer on a cargo vessel. William struggled to overcome the challenges of malnutrition and lack of resources by staying faithful to God and working hard. William’s dedication to family has allowed him to support his family in Dhaka, while also help grow his family in Canada, by achieving greatness through his work ethic and dedication to God, seen in annual prayer gather known as Bhoro Shobha.
Jenet Halder is a loving mother dedicated to God and family that is seen through her sacrifices that she has made for her family and loved ones. Her talent in the arts of singing and ability to envision how to organize and solve problems has been a source of strength and faith for the Halders. A mother’s love and inspiration can never be underestimated.
